Government Agencies

The team at SLC has experience in supporting national agencies such as Sport England and the Museums and Libraries Association (many of its functions now sitting within Arts Council England).

In the past we have undertaken reviews of national sports centres, operated UK wide programmes such as Quest - the UK Quality Scheme for Sport and Leisure, Sporting Champions in England and undertaken pan London Heritage Change Programmes and pilot projects for four London boroughs.

Duncan Wood-Allum supported Sport England in enabling the funding and delivery of £30 million plus schemes in Warrington and Plymouth as part of the Commnity Sports Fund in 2007 - 2009. Both facilities are due for opening in 2012.

SLC has recently provided Sport England with insight and advice on their approach to advising the Education sector in realtion to Community Use of Schools.

With recent changes to centralised support for Culture and Sport, SLC provides a unique perspective on the local government sector and in supporting government agencies in their interface with the sector.
